Will it fit the jars in my cupboard?
It's sized for small and medium lids — jam, sauce, pickles, standard bottle caps and can rings — which covers the vast majority of what's in a kitchen cupboard.
Being straight with you: a very large jar, like a full one-litre catering pickle jar, can be wider than the largest opening. If that's the specific jar you're buying this for, measure the lid first.
Does it work if I have weak hands?
That's who most people buy it for. The shaped handle gives you leverage, so the turning force comes from the length of the tool rather than the strength of your grip — several buyers mention using it with limited hand strength.
It's a lever, not a machine, so you still need to hold the jar steady — but it's a completely different job from bare hands.
How do I clean it?
Warm soapy water and a rinse. Dry it before it goes back in the drawer and the stainless steel stays exactly as it arrived.
How many should I get?
One for your own kitchen is the obvious start — but this is the item people most often buy a second of for a parent or grandparent, which is why the bundle pricing tends to be the better call.
