Which size do I need?

For these, you have two sizes in both white and black:

Large: 12.6" L × 5.3" W × 5" H

Small: 9.2" L × 4.5" W × 4.7" H

Start with a tape measure and your power strip — that's the one measurement that decides it. Take the length of the strip itself, then add a little for the plugs sitting in it, because those stick out further than people expect.

Go for the size that leaves the strip a bit of room rather than the one it just barely squeezes into. A comfortable fit is easier to close and easier to live with.

Do I have to unplug everything?

Not a thing! That's what the slots in the sides are for — the cords carry on out of the box and off to whatever they're powering, so everything keeps running exactly as it was.

Setting it up is really just gathering the slack, sitting the strip inside, feeding the cords out through the slots and lowering the lid.
