Which size should I pick?
Easy one — start with the gap, not the cart. Measure the space you want it to live in, then choose Small if it's a genuinely tight slot beside an appliance, or Big if you've got a little more room and want wider shelves.
After that it's just tiers: three for a lower profile, four when you'd rather build upward. The most common pick is a Small in three or four tiers, tucked into a gap that was doing nothing before.
How slim is slim?
5.12" to 7.87" basket width, depending on which size you pick. Slim is the whole idea! This is a gap cart — it's made to slide into the narrow strip beside a washer, a fridge, a toilet or a countertop, so the Small sizes are genuinely narrow and buyers who order them get exactly that.
That's why "perfect size" is the phrase that comes up most in reviews. If you want more shelf to play with rather than a tight fit, go straight to one of the Big options.
Is it a pain to put together?
Not at all — this is one of the things buyers mention most. The tiers and the frame go together quickly, the wheels push into place, and you're loading it a few minutes after opening the box.
"Easy to put together" shows up again and again in the reviews, which is exactly what you want from something that ships flat.
Where do people actually put it?
Wherever there's a gap! Beside the washing machine for detergent and softener, next to the fridge for spices, jars and packets, and in the bathroom for bottles, refills and spare towels.
Plenty end up somewhere else entirely — a bedside column for books and chargers, a craft corner for supplies, or a living room nook for remotes and chargers. The wheels mean it doesn't have to stay put.
